Inspired by true events, a scholar studying journalism, Samantha, that needs to complete her thesis with one breaking news story is followed by The Devils Tree. Along side her friend Rob, Samantha stumbles over a news article about an older tree at a park where many horrible actions occurred. The locals have given the tree the name Devils Tree as a result of its legends of activity , satanic rituals, and mass-murders. She decides that is the best story to finish on her thesis. She also begins to uncover the truth about these legends, as Sam digs deeper in the domain of the tree. Struggling with her own demons of her past, Samantha is faced by a fanatic of the tree and must expose the truth in hopes to set it all free. In the end, the reason evil is rooted at The Devils Tree is founded by Samantha.
